John Franklin married Annie Ruth in 1911. John was given 45 acres as a wedding gift where he would build a house and raise their 10 children. John Franklin was a hard working man on what was called a 3-mule farm. He was a father who disciplined his children well and sought to teach "make something of yourself". There was no playing around when work needed to be done. He was a man of hard work and little play. His legacy was to watch his 10 children succeed in life, and we believe he instilled those traits in generations to come.
